"Liebster Award"

To my surprise I was nominated for this so called " Liebser Award," I really didn't know what to think, but I am thankful that someone actually reads my plain little blog.
So without further ado, thank you Octavia for this kind invitation.

Alright, the rules for the Liebster Award are as follows:

  1. List 11 facts about yourself
  2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger who nominated you left
  3. Ask 11 new questions for those you nominate
  4. Choose 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate
  5. Go to each bloggers page and let them know about the award
  6. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog

So to start, 11 facts about me:

1.) I really enjoy the state of Michigan, I am smitten with the mitten you could say. Though the area I live in is not the greatest in my opinion, but I love Detroit, I love the West Coast, The Great Lakes, and The Upper Peninsula!

2.) I lead middle schooler at my church. Which means I hang out with them on Sunday mornings where we play games, act silly, and participate in worship. I also get to lead a bible study of 6th grade girls as well as go on retreats and mission trips. I absolutely love it!

3.)  My personality tends to be more introverted, I would much rather share in a great conversation with one or a few people rather than large groups. I get flustered easily when there is too much chaos going on and when I am around too many people for to long I need some alone time. There are always a few exceptions.

4.) I am three semesters (counting this semester) away from obtaining my degree!

5.) I am 50% polish, though I don't know as many words as I'd like.

6.) I have the worst luck when it comes to cars. My first car constantly had problems, then when I was able to get a new one the problems started not too long after.

7.) I have an odd and desperate desire to own chickens.

8.) I shoot with Canon cameras.

9.) I have 3 tattoos, and owl on my right shoulder, a Japanese blossom tree on my rib cage, and agape on my foot. Also working on getting a 4th one. Most people who don't know me well don't even know I have tattoos and when I tell them they are always shocked lol.

10.) I love tea, and everything tea! And my most favorite tea comes from a lady at the Detroit Eastern Market!

11.) I am in love.

Now the 11 questions I've been asked:

1.)  What would your sleep schedule be like if you had nothing to do?
As much as I'd like to be one of those people who wakes up early and gets things accomplished, maybe do some yoga, I have hard time getting myself out of bed early. There are days where I do have to get up early but I would much rather sleep till 10 maybe and rest at 1:00. I feel more productive at night but I also need at least 7 hours of sleep.

2.)  If some magical stranger paid your airfare to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
This is a tough one, hmm probably Cape Town in South Africa. I've always wanted to go to Africa but when my sister made her visit there she had so many great things to tell.

3.)  Would you take the chance to live off of the land if you could?
Yes! I have this obsession with backpacking Alaska, probably because of my favorite movie "Into the Wild."

4.)  Does your favorite color have any special meaning to you?
Well not exactly but I do find my favorite color delightful, which is yellow.

5.)  What do you do for a living, and what would you like to be doing to make a living?
At the moment I work at a daycare as an assistant, I do not plan on continuing in this area but I am hopeful to whatever work in photography is available!

6.)  Do you have a celebrity idol?
I don't really spend much time idolizing celebrities, but I am quite fond of Audrey Hepburn.

7.)  Do you play any instruments/consider yourself to have any musical prowess?
In high school I played bass clarinet and I am certain I still know how. I know a little mandolin and from time to time I'll practice the ukulele.

8.)  What was the last book you read, what was your opinion of it?
Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, I enjoyed it and struggled with some idea which was not a bad thing it helped me grown stronger in my faith.

9.)  What was your childhood dream job?
My childhood dream job was to be a veterinarian, then towards the end of High School decided I did not what that much schooling.

10.) What is the most influential piece of music in your life?
Hmm another tough one, I guess I would have to say"But for you who fear my name" by the Welcome Wagon. I love the folk sound and the words for they truly describe my loving Father. The Welcome Wagon has the most wonderful musicians if you enjoy folk music!

11.) Are there any word or phrases that you say as a bad habit and wish you could stop?
Not that I can think of, I usually try not to use the word hate I guess.

My questions for you:
1.) If you could change your name to anything what would it be?
2.) What do you like most about where you live?
3.) What is your favorite kind of music?
4.) What do you cherish most in your relationships?
5.) What is your most favorite memory?
