People Matter

This weighs heavy on my heart often because I always have to bring myself back to this truth. People hurt, and it hurts a whole lot when you are surrounded by people who hurt often growing up. There are always circumstances and ways we can rationalize reasons that ignore the fact that we ourselves are not perfect ever. We as well hurt others too, but be reminded... people matter.

My favorites from 2013

Photos dear to me that I've captured in moments of life and the ones others were able to capture for me.

So much time spent on Hubbard Lake, the first Lake I became a extreme tubber and the place where we spent our last long moments with Steven's uncle.

The group I got to lead on our Detroit Mission Trip. Some
of them look older than me!

Our Monday group at the Dessert Oasis Coffee Shop.

Warm Hearts in Canada

Sunny days spent in London Canada at my very sweet Aunts house , the very aunt who took much care of me as a young girl herself. Steven and I brought the sisters who have adopted me, my greatest best friends all in one little, but spacious home. We ice skated in Victoria Park right before we left. The nights before lead us late onto the ice where only one of us could get a foot on before they shut all the lights off. We treaded through snow enjoying the Christmas lights, made our way into tiny little shops, and celebrated what felt like Thanksgiving again with a big turkey dinner that my aunt and her husband prepared for us. These are sweet and humbling moments.

Say Hello To Florida

A place where most Michiganders go for warmth in the cold winter months, and mostly because our grandparents own second homes there half the year. I've actually only been to Florida three times.

I spent a lot of my time photographic birds,
seeing how close they would let me get, and collecting shells.

My soon to be sister-in-law and her soon to be husband.
